Selection and Notification

The ACTA International Clinical Trials Symposium Convener serves as the head of the Steering Committee and will make the final decision on which abstracts are accepted.

Abstracts will be reviewed against the following criteria:

  • Completed rather than future work (i.e. final results)

  • Original data of high quality

  • An analysis that extends existing knowledge

  • Diversity and consumer involvement

  • Clarity of methodology, analysis and presentation of results

  • Specific rather than general findings

Results of the abstract review will be sent to the contact author by 6 September 2023. Presenting authors will be notified after the closing date regarding the status of their abstract. All presenters will be required to register for the conference and pay the appropriate registration fees should they be selected. All presenters also need to meet their own travel and accommodation costs.
