Anne McKenzie AM

Anne McKenzie AM has been a consumer advocate for three decades. From 2004-2021 she worked in research organisations in WA to increase the community voice in research. This work is recognised nationally and internationally as a best practice model for community involvement. She currently works as a consultant for organisations such as Telethon Kids Institute, the University of Queensland, Flinders University and the VCCC Alliance.

Anne serves on key national committees and is a Board Director of the Australian Clinical Trials Alliance. Anne was appointed to the Order of Australia for her advocacy work in 2015 and in 2021 she received the NHMRC’s Biennial Award for Consumer Engagement.

In 2022 Anne received the Advocacy Achievement Award from Australasian Academy of Cerebral Palsy and Developmental Medicine.
