Ian Harris is an orthopaedic surgeon based at Liverpool Hospital in Sydney and Professor of Orthopaedic Surgery at UNSW. His research interests are clinical, including randomised trials of surgical effectiveness.

He also has experience with clinical quality registries and runs registry-nested trials through the Australian joint replacement registry.
