Professor Steven Tong is an infectious diseases physician and clinical trialist at the Doherty Institute at the Royal Melbourne Hospital and the University of Melbourne. He leads the Staphylococcus aureus Network Adaptive Platform (SNAP) trial and the Australasian COVID-19 Trial (ASCOT). He co-leads the Clinical and Health Services Research cross- cutting discipline at the Doherty Institute and is the immediate past chair of the Australasian Society of Infectious Diseases Clinical Research Network.
